It's really a fucked up trade, from a Red Sox POV. (Pirates made out like bandits, though.) But at least they got SOMETHING for him, as opposed to nothing at the end of the year, and a pouting dingus for 2 months.

He really got on the Sox's last nerve, and I don't blame them a bit for unloading him. Bay's not /great/, but he looks to be pretty OK. And better than nothing.
