I've heard that it was so bad in Boston's clubhouse, out of 25 guys, one said he still wanted Manny in the clubhouse (rumor says it was Youk)
The Sox were really screwed once the Marlins pulled out--and the kicker, they couldn't address their actual weakness--their bullpen.
