You know you've been making too many graphics when you stumble downstairs on less sleep than you'd like, pour a bowl of cereal, haul the wrong spoon out of the drawer, and stand there staring blearily and thinking, "This would make a good icon."

Yes. 'Tis a slotted spoon. Which sits in the drawer with the soup spoons I use for my cereal, so it was only a matter of time.

I should try re-shooting the picture from above so I can get more of the drawer contents in and a closer view of the cereal bowl to make clear what's in it, without quite so much counter-edge showing.

If only I could be this perfectionist in all my doings.

(I've got a job for the summer putting books through a scanner page by page - I assume we're turning them into ebooks or something - and many of them are cookery books and they keep talking about slotted spoons...but I've never seen one...until now!)
