It occurs to me that Art has not appeared in here very often.

In no particular order...

The 8-ball of Mandos. Dedicated to an annoyingly cheerful GM and admin who gives very noncommital Koshlike answers when i try to pin him down on something. (It reads: Doom hazy. Try Again Later.)

Gaia. Painter Classic "trace" over a faint image of a photo of a sculpture at Pacifica.

abstract green. Fun with the gradient fill in Painter Classic. I have rediscovered the joy of doodling in class to stay awake!

Blue swoosh. Ditto.

Cool blue. Ditto, plus the marbling rake.

Bryce experiment. THIS shows the madness involved in creating a 3-D object of this sort.

Yet another photo-trace. (I put a faint ghostly image of a photo in back, paint away, and delete the photo when i'm done.) I still wish they had cast David Bowie.

The Grinding Ice. (or, "why am I incapable of doing anything in Bryce that does not involve using glass textures?")

Beriadrim Emblem. Device designed for the non-mounted warriors of Imladris.

Misty. Demeter's stepdaughter's cat. I need to finish this!

Spectacuarly bad picture of my Elf-friend character, moderately plausible portrait of Elf.

Yet more gratuitous use of Bryce's glass materials.

Another Painter doodle. I think this one should be tileable as wallpaper, if it were lightened a bit. Feel free to grab.

I can explain.

I love all those pics. :) Good to see/hear from you again!

So, what's the explanation on the last pic? :) (It reminds me of someone's LJ icon of a rooster with a Nazgul cape, but I can't remember the caption on it)

I edit an online newspaper for a LOTR fan community. Naturally, I just have to make it look like an illuminated manuscript (the Elrond above is another graphic).

The administrator of the Mordor forum, who holds the position of Witch-king, occasionally writes a humor column for us. That month she gave us some Middle-earth chicken jokes. I couldn't resist the challenge of trying to draw the WK of Angmar on a rubber chicken.

(For the record, she named the Witch-king's mount "Spot".)

Ooooh. I was convinced that the image of Elrond was a scanned sumi-ink drawing on paper, at first. Excellent work--esp. the delicacy of the lines in his face.

Uh... so, like:

"The Nazgul they were; the Ringwraiths, the Enemy's most terrible servants; rubber chickens went with them and they cried with the voices of death."

?!
