"Greek 2 Me" is my shop. My little shop. Last spring, I finally got to visit Greece, took many pictures, and...well! I ought to do something with them, now, shouldn't I? Having bought decent stuff come from Cafepress in the past, nicely boxed up and shipped in a timely fashion, and having worn and abused one T-shirt from them for a few years, I decided: this works!

So, I have been puttering away designing t-shirts and mousepads and other Stuff using my photos and Photoshop.

Right now I just have a "basic" shop -- I can sell one design per each kind of item, so if I want to have an Athena women's T, I can't also sell an Artemis or Apollo women's T. I'm watching to see how this goes. If it looks like it's going to work, I will pay to upgrade to a Premium shop, which charges me a monthly fee, and then i can put any number of designs on each item, depending on how long I want to spend puttering and tweaking them.

Right now I have a little list of other things I want to make, too -- coasters, mugs (there's a few shapes for caffeine dispensers, very important), a cute little wooden box with a tile lid, magnets -- plus several more shirt designs. Once I've gotten through all of those, and decided whether I actually have the gall to make Thong Underwear for Valentine's Day, then i may start working up a set of alternate designs, and start paying the monthly fee.

This is JUST the beginning!

But I figured I'd better throw the door open quickly, as the holidays are coming like a phalanx of extras in a Greek epic. A pity I didn't get started sooner, but, you know me!

This is my operation. I finally took a trip to Greece last spring. There I snapped many pictures, with the thought, "hey, I can use these if I ever teach art history again!"

And then I thought, "waaaaaitaminute..."

I'm still working on my PhD. This cafepress shop is a small venture to help pay for...well, first of all, all those rolls of film, but then we'll see!
