I HAVE FOUND A TEA

I have been in mourning ever since my tum decided that black teas (including my beloved darjeeling and oolang) were not something I was allowed to have very often. Too acid.
Well, I will no longer mourn. For I have found the most divine green tea I have ever tasted, and I've been sampling many over the last few years looking for a substitute tea that I can tolerate.
Behold:
Bird Pick Queen of Jasmine Green Tea
The smell of this tea is absolutely heavenly. Do you remember the rare and curious delight the first time you ever sampled a really, really, really exquisite white tea?
It's like that. Times ten.

Also, total non-sequitur:
That Madonna. So subtle.
(Grinning like a Cheshire Cat. I think I need to start a new dedicated blog for Best Egyptian Kitsch, and that halftime show opener is right up there with the Luxor Hotel and Hadrian's statues of his dead boyfriend in full pharaonic attire.)

Date: 2012-02-06 01:50 pm (UTC)You made me go look at the Youtube vid of Madonna's Superbowl show. The only part of the Superbowl I care about in the least. It is, indeed, magnificent. She's had to step up her game with Gaga around. ;)

Date: 2012-02-07 04:14 am (UTC)I always thought she was a smart entertainer with just the right mix of "my primary job is to entertain you, and over-the-topness is one of my idioms, so HERE! SPECTACLE!" and "I'm going to challenge stereotypes and shake things up a bit, because we all should do meta once in a while."
So when I heard someone yapping on the radio about Madonna causing controversy by (as far as I could tell) being 53 and giving a heck of a show, I had to go look it up as well.
Apparently she pulled a hamstring and still did all that on spiked heels. Ouch.
And I think you are quite right that Gaga's inspired Madonna to step it up a notch. There's two I'd love to see collaborate on...something... a little like Joan Baez and Dar Williams, only with less substance and more camp. :)
