Incredibly easy way to separate egg yolk / white

Picked this up from Grist (which has one of my favorite Twitter streams): a creative way to reuse a plastic water bottle:

Only two problems with this method:

1. I don't use plastic water bottles if I can help it.
2. Would it be hard to clean out the egg particles for reuse?

Still, it's awfully clever. And fun!
