Wink at the Moon

I read that Neil Armstrong's family asked us to go out and "wink at the moon" and think of him, if we wanted to honor him.

So I lugged out my wee spotter scope and point-and-shoot camera for the first time, to see if I could photograph the moon. This was my best attempt (click for full-sized):

Who says baseball is dull?

Yesterday, the Dodgers lost by stranding 16 men on base.

On the bright side, I felt a small earthquake (probably one of these) from the top deck, and a Star Destroyer menaced the field during a lengthy pitching change:




The only way I want to see Los Angeles:


EDIT: Fooey, some of those earthquakes are big enough to have done structural damage locally. I shouldn't let myself enjoy the ride when someone else's house is getting cracked.
