I finally got pictures of the little (or not so little) buggers when they came back after the earthquake-kerfluffle.
They're perched in the top of an 80-foot eucalyptus, so my camera zoom was struggling.

I've been trying to track them for weeks for the California Parrot Project.
I am very pleased! I am now certain they are Red-Crowned Parrots, an endangered species. May they live long and prosper!
Except I'm a little worried: there were more of them last year. This year I'm only seeing 2-3 at a time.
