Did someone say "accumulation"?
Jan. 23rd, 2005 02:52 pmBeing a weather bug, i had to check in to see what people in normal places are saying about having some. I see that Calluna has had too much, thank you very much, and HC hasn't had quite enough. I probably would be with HC, considering that I was going out and frolicking in the downpours every day that we had them. (Topanga Canyon Road is STILL closed by the Boulder the Size of Gibraltar, and I tend to agree with my mother that it would be much more fun if they'd simply dig a tunnel through it, instead of blasting it into chunks.)
Well well. I see pictures of Somerville that look very fun, with 6 foot drifts. One of them looked like my house, but then, all those 3-story Victorians look somewhat alike.
I am pleased to announce that Orange County is attempting to show solidarity with the northeast, although snow is a little beyond our capacity. It is currently 67, sunny, and the pear trees are blooming nicely. But we are enterprising. We improvised. And we have an accumulation of our very own! Namely, giant squid.
Okay, so they're not giant squid, but 10-20 pounds per squid is still a fairly hefty amount of squiddage.
Cheers from the land of fruits 'n nuts.
