A silly baseball game.

Good thing there's a few days off now. I need to get my nose back to my books, and I haven't been able to concentrate for 2 days.

Sorry, Cubbies, you got snooked into thinking you were playing the DL Dodgers of May through mid August. That's a different team. And it's not just because of the nut with the dreads who parachuted in from outer space to start thwacking balls to Pluto.

I wish playoffs tickets weren't so expensive. Even for this... I can't justify shelling out over a hundred dollars. But I wanna goooooo.

I've never been a fan of baseball, mostly because of my dad's fondness for the game. But the Dodgers/Diamondbacks game I went to was amazing, particularly the game-ending final catch by the first baseman.

Heh. I know the feeling. I hated sports growing up because of the Orioles game broadcasts blaring through my grandfather's house, and the interminable horror of my family's season tickets to the Baltimore Colts. They were AWFUL.

It took me about 25 years to recover.

And yes, that catch is why we love Nomar, even though he lives on the DL and takes a few days off each month to play fabulous baseball for us.

By the way -- I was a flake (again) and left your phone # at home when I went to that game. It was a good 'un!
