No, the current fires are not near me.
Last year's Santiago Canyon fire burned all the hills NE of my neighborhood, so unless something starts within a mile or so, I'm safe.
On the other hand, a fire started 3 miles away last weekend, but the Santa Anas weren't blowing there, so it just made a big bare blackened area in the park where I used to watch ducks.
That is all.
No, wait, not quite all. Ducks. I said the magic word.
